An Island Resort with Hotel, Marina, Casino and Golf Facilities

Project Description:

The project is an island resort located at the center of the Philippine archipelago which is San Jose Island (formerly known as Carabao Island), Romblon. The project shall cover a total area of approximately 72.72 hectares and will have the following facilities:

  • The MARINA shall stand on a 28,000 square meter property with a substantial area of the shore line ideal for the potoons/berthing. It shall offer (a) a main marina building with lobby-lounge, brassiere and rotisserie, bar/bistro,piano lounge, outdoor coffee bar, business center, guest rooms, presidential suites, pharmacy, and newstand; (b) a marina sports station with lobby-lounge, administration offices, charter boat office, race headquarters, wet bar and coffee shop, novelty shop and water sport equipment and accessory shop; (c) a refueling station with boat sale showroom, ship chandlery, dive shop, dry boat storage, slipway and travel hoist, boatmen's quarter, 24-hour rescue team, floating fuel station, and pontoons for on-water repair.

  • The 18-hole GOLF COURSE (PAR 69) with driving range shall occupy a land area of 430,700 square meters. The course shall be designed on international standards with amenities such as tee houses, club house, target range, pro-shop, and coffee shop.

  • The CONDO-HOTEL shall utilize a land area of approximately 37,000 square meters. Buyers of residential units shall be given an option to personally use the units or assign their rights to the administrator of the condo-hotel for management and rent. The second option shall entitle the unit buyers to share in the annual income to be derived from the condo-hotel operations.

  • The CONDO-VILLAS shall occupy a total land area of 112,000 square meters. Similar to the concept of the condo-hotel, the buyers of the villas have the options to either personally use the villas or assign their rights back to the administrators of the project which will enable them to earn additional income from their units.

  • The HOTEL CASINO shall have at least 200 rooms and suites and shall house the casino on the second floor of the building.

Project Proponent:

The project is a joint undertaking by R.E. REED & Associates, Inc. and a landed family of Davao who owns the 72 hectares.

Market:

Boracay, a popular tourist destination, is less than an hour boat ride to San Jose Island. The continuous growth in tourist arrival in the area can have a spill-over effect to San Jose Island which likewise has crystal clear beaches and attractive marine life.
